Welcome!
Ramnic has been used to housing at the bottom of Capela people from all the corners of the country and of the world. From the armies led by Traian who were conquering Decebal's Dacia, passing through the trade fair bringing together the European West with the Balkans and the Near East, to the present road and railway communication core, waves of people have come to Ramnic in order to carry on their journey towards their goal, or to stay when their soul attached to the spirit of this place.
Ramnic has also been a place where books have come into being.
“The capital of the Romanian printing”, as Iorga used to call it, the town has opened its arms to welcome the rulers in love with the written word, type writers and learners of culture, offering them the means to open up their work, the leaf printed with learning, to the world in order to spread its knowledge over others, too. Over centuries, the culture has remained, to our days, a form of existence for this place, and this is reflected in every step taken by passers-by through our town.
